Ian McConnell Veterinary Practice

Friendly, local, affordable, common-sense approach to pet care

Unlike many veterinary practices today, we are a 100% independent family owned veterinary practice.  We have been serving the surrounding areas since 2000, formerly on Stamford Street in Top Mossley. From October 2014 the former library on Wyre Street became our new home and now provides one of the most spacious and welcoming veterinary practices in Greater Manchester. Our friendly team of highly-trained, dedicated staff are here to provide excellent veterinary care for you and your pet.

We’re here seven days a week and when the practice is closed, you have the added peace of mind that if your pet becomes ill during this time, you will be seen on-site by Pet999 Limited.  They provide dedicated night vets and nurses that are available here in Mossley when we are closed.  No need for travelling long distances with a sick pet.

When the practice was originally started, the idea was that I wanted somewhere I would be happy to bring my own pet; this idea still carries on to this day.

Our Client Service Charter is simple: friendly, local, affordable, common-sense approach to pet care.

The links above will direct you to specific services as well as news and blog pages. You can also register as a new client or request a repeat prescription.  Also check our news page for any important information or not have a look at our Facebook and Twitter Pages for the most up to date information.  These can be found at the bottom of this page.

Thanks for visiting our website, Ian!
