Following the withdrawal of providing an out-of-hours emergency service by our previous partner County End Veterinary Practice, Ian McConnell Veterinary Practice has had to review the provision of an out-of-hours (OOH) service. With effect from 7pm on 5th November 2015 (and whenever our practice is closed) you will be asked to visit a dedicated emergency and critical care facility, A+E Vets, based in nearby Cheadle Hulme. This is the nearest facility of its type in the area and as such is staffed by a team of dedicated veterinary surgeons and nurses, fully trained in OOH care and procedures. You will have the added peace of mind that the same standard of pet care which you expect from us, continues at the A+E Vets hospital (which we have used previously in 2007). Any pet owned by one of our registered clients will be seen and treated and full details of costs will be provided to you. Treatment details and any communication with our clients will be provided to our practice by the following day.
A+E Vets premises are very easy-to-find and can be reached off Junction 3 M60 with a postcode for satnav of SK8 5LU. Their direct telephone number is 0161 486 2355 but there is no need to have to remember it – just call our usual surgery number 01457 837900 anytime and we will provide clear instructions. No-one wants to find themselves in an emergency situation but we know that when you do, the least-stressful option is preferable for all concerned and, combined with a fresh working team of professionals, fully-regulated veterinary hospital facilities within easy access and reasonable costs, that’s the reason why A+E Vets is our preferred partner of choice. Clients are, of course, free to choose any emergency treatment provider they wish.
